Terms of Use

1. What Remvio is

Remvio is a personal organization tool that reminds you about medications at the times you enter and lets you record what you did. You enter all medications, schedules and instructions yourself, and you are responsible for checking that they are correct.

2. Not medical advice, and reminders are not guaranteed

Reminders depend on your phone's notification, sound, Focus and battery settings. Delivery and audible alerts are not guaranteed. Always follow your prescription label and your clinician's guidance. Do not take an extra dose just because a reminder was late or repeated.

• Remvio is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. It does not tell you what to take, how much, or when, and it does not tell you what to do about a missed or late dose.
• The optional “What to avoid” card shows text from the U.S. FDA drug label, quoted word for word, with its source and date. It is not a check of how your medications interact, may not match the exact product you take, and may be out of date. Ask your pharmacist or prescriber.
• Do not rely on Remvio for time-critical treatment or emergencies. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

3. Who can use Remvio

Remvio is meant for adults managing their own medications. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use it only with a parent or guardian’s permission.

4. Optional account and backup

You can use Remvio without an account. If you sign in with Apple or Google to back up your data, keep access to that sign-in secure. You can delete your account at any time from your profile in the app or as described on our account deletion page. We may suspend an account used to abuse or attack the service.

Backups are provided to help you move to a new phone. We work to keep them available, but we do not guarantee that a backup will always be available or complete, so keep your phone’s data in mind before you delete the app or reset your phone.

5. Remvio Plus

• The free version includes every feature for one medication. Remvio Plus is a one-time purchase (currently $4.99 in the U.S.; local prices may differ) that unlocks unlimited medications. It is not a subscription.
• Purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are governed by their terms. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
• Your purchase belongs to the Apple ID or Google account that made it. Use “Restore purchase” in the app to bring it back on a new phone.
• Buying Remvio Plus or not never stops reminders for a medication you already have.

6. Acceptable use

Do not misuse Remvio or our services: no attempts to access other people’s data, to disrupt or overload our systems, to reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it, or to use Remvio for anything unlawful.

7. Ownership

Remvio, its design, name and logo belong to Ember Development Studios, LLC. We give you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control, under these terms and the rules of the store you downloaded it from. The data you enter is yours. FDA label text is public information from the U.S. government.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what data Remvio handles. In short: your medication data stays on your phone unless you choose the optional backup.

9. Disclaimers

Remvio is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any reminder will be delivered or heard.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Ember Development Studios, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any harm arising from a missed, late, repeated or silent reminder, or from decisions about your medications. Our total liability for any claim relating to Remvio is limited to the amount you paid us for Remvio in the 12 months before the claim, or US$10 if you paid nothing. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

11. Apple and Google

These terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for Remvio or its support. If you downloaded Remvio from the App Store, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. If Remvio fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price, if any, and Apple has no other warranty obligation.

12. Changes and ending these terms

We may update Remvio and these terms. When we change the terms, we update the date at the top of this page; material changes will be shown in the app. You can stop using Remvio at any time by deleting the app and, if you have one, your account.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Volusia County, Florida, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
