Frequently asked questions
Is Remvio free?
Yes. The free version includes every feature for one medication. Remvio Plus is a one-time purchase of $4.99 (U.S. price) that unlocks unlimited medications. There is no subscription and no ads.
Do I need an account?
No. Remvio works fully without an account and without an internet connection. Signing in with Apple or Google is optional and only used to back up your data so you can restore it on a new phone.
Where is my data stored?
On your phone. Nothing leaves it unless you turn on the FDA label lookup (which sends only the medication name) or sign in and tap “Back up now”. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
A reminder did not ring or arrived late. What can I check?
Reminders depend on your phone's notification, sound, Focus and battery settings. Delivery and audible alerts are not guaranteed. Always follow your prescription label and your clinician's guidance. Do not take an extra dose just because a reminder was late or repeated.
- Make sure notifications are allowed for Remvio in your phone’s settings.
- Check Focus or Do Not Disturb, and that your ringer volume is up.
- On Android, allow “Alarms & reminders” for Remvio and turn off battery optimization so the phone does not hold its reminders back.
- Open Settings → Reminder check-up in Remvio. It shows what is set up and can send a test reminder.
I missed a dose. What should I do?
Remvio cannot tell you that. Follow your prescription label and ask your pharmacist or prescriber. Do not take an extra dose just because a reminder was late or repeated.
What does Snooze do?
Snooze reminds you again after a short wait. It never marks a dose as taken and does not move your next scheduled reminder.
What is the “From the FDA label” card?
If you turn it on, Remvio looks up your medication on openFDA and shows the label’s own warnings, word for word, with the source and date. It is not an interaction checker and not advice. If the label may not match the product you take, Remvio asks you to pick the right one. Ask your pharmacist about anything you read there.
Is the medication name shown on my lock screen?
Yes, by default a reminder shows the medication name and time. To hide notification content on your lock screen, change the notification preview setting for Remvio in your phone’s settings.
How do I move Remvio to a new phone?
- On your old phone, open your profile (top right), sign in with Apple or Google, and tap “Back up now”.
- On the new phone, install Remvio, sign in with the same account, and tap “Restore from backup”.
- Open your profile and tap “Restore purchase” to bring back Remvio Plus.
How do I restore Remvio Plus?
Open your profile and tap “Restore purchase”. Use the same Apple ID or Google account that bought it. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
Which phones does Remvio support?
iPhone with iOS 17 or later, and Android phones through Google Play.
How do I delete my account or my data?
See Delete your account and data for step-by-step instructions, including how to ask us to delete your account if you no longer have the app.
